Hi, I’m Monisha Sebastin.
I am a New York-based, American board-certified genetic counselor with over 15 years of research and over eight years of clinical experience specializing in pediatric and cardiovascular genetics. Beyond my research and clinical practice, I focus on expanding international genetic counseling access through education, mentorship, and workforce development.
The Global Genetics Directory is a direct extension of my passion: connecting practitioners worldwide, elevating professional standards, and ensuring genetics expertise reaches every community.

Global Education & Curriculum:
Co-leading international educational initiatives and contributing to foundational curriculum design, including program development at SRM University in India.
Professional Leadership:
Active leader in the global genetics landscape, serving with the New York State Genetics Task Force and co-chairing the NSGC International and Pediatric Special Interest Groups.
Grants & Awards:
Recipient of the 2022 Heart of Genetic Counseling Award and the 2024 Audrey Heimler Special Projects Award, which directly funds the Global Genetics Directory.
